The honest version: The Lime Truck was founded in Irvine in 2010, so OC is our origin. San Diego is a newer market for us — not a long-running base — and we'd rather say that out loud than pretend otherwise. What we won't undersell: the operation that won Food Network's Great Food Truck Race twice (Season 2 in 2011 and All-Stars in 2021) is the same one pulling up to your San Diego event.

We won Food Network's Great Food Truck Race in Season 2 (2011) and came back to win the All-Stars season (2021) — one of the only teams ever to win twice. Yahoo Travel named us a Top 5 Food Truck in America. OC Weekly named us Best Food Truck in Orange County (an OC honor — we're not going to dress it up as an SD award).
