The honest version: The Lime Truck was founded in Irvine in 2010 — Orange County is our origin. But LA is where the work scales up. Studios, productions, big-agency offices, hotel weddings, and the kind of events that need a catering operation that can show up at 5 a.m. for a breakfast call and still be plating second meal at midnight. That's where we live in this city.
We anchor our LA operation out of Glendale (1936 W Glenoaks Blvd), which puts us minutes from Burbank lots, the Hollywood studios, Downtown, and Pasadena, with quick access west to Santa Monica and the Westside. After winning Food Network's Great Food Truck Race twice — Season 2 in 2011 and All-Stars in 2021 — we built our LA service specifically around what this market actually books: film and TV production catering, wrap parties, entertainment-industry corporate events, and rooftop weddings.
Every booking gets a coordinator, a full professional crew, and a menu cooked to order on the truck — not pre-plated catering trays reheated in a hotel kitchen. We know LA load-in windows, motor-court clearances, generator etiquette, and the difference between a Hollywood rooftop and a Malibu cliffside. We plan around your venue, not around our limitations.

Cooked to order on the truck, in front of your guests, so set lunches don't taste like set lunches. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options on every booking — and proudly cooked with zero seed oils through our partnership with Zero Acre Farms (the kind of detail an LA crew with a sharp palate notices).
