The Lime Truck pulled up to its first event in Orange County in 2010. We weren't a franchise, a brand extension, or a chain rolling into town — we were two friends with a truck, a California-Mexican menu, and a stubborn belief that food truck food could be better than what the rest of the catering industry was serving. Sixteen years later, our kitchen, our team, and our trucks are still based in Irvine.
One year after launching, we won Food Network's Great Food Truck Race (Season 2, 2011). A decade later we came back and won it again on the All-Stars season (2021) — making us one of the only teams ever to win twice. OC Weekly named us Best Food Truck in Orange County. The wins are nice, but the point is: we've been feeding this county for 16 years, and we still cook every order to order on the truck.

Our menu is California-Mexican fusion — the food we grew up eating in Southern California, refined over 16 years on the road and on television. Carne asada, achiote chicken, slow-braised pork, blackened mahi, fresh ceviche, hand-pressed tortillas, and the churros that have become an OC wedding signature. Every order is made on the truck while your guests watch. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free options on every menu — and proudly cooked with zero seed oils through our partnership with Zero Acre Farms.

We cater Newport Beach weddings on Friday, Irvine corporate lunches Monday morning, Laguna Beach private parties on Saturday night, and Anaheim festivals when the call comes. Sixteen years in and the truck still knows the 405, the 5, the 73, and which Pacific Coast Highway turnouts have enough room to park.
